PUYALLUP, Wash. (KOMO) — A baby left inside a 100-degree car for about nine hours on Wednesday died, the Puyallup Police Department confirmed Monday. According to police, officers were called to the hospital and spoke with staff. The baby's foster mother forgot the baby in the back of the car when she went inside to work, police said. The temperature that day was between 70 and 75 degrees, and the temperature inside the car around 6:15 p.m. was north of 100, police said. "Life-saving measures" were attempted but the baby, who was just over 1, died, police added.
